Hi. I wasn't sure exactly where to post this question so I am hoping that someone out there can offer some suggestions.

I have completed a 25 page document that was done in publisher. I have converted it to a pdf  in A4 (after saving the publisher file also).

I want to convert the document to an A5 pdf file. The doc has some pictures in it.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to do this and if so how do I go about it.

Alternatively is there a way that I can convert it to Word without having to play around with re formatting?

    Thanks everyone!

Hi Karen ! Here you are:

      1. Convert back the PDF File to Word using pdf2word software. This is a Free software. Just enter pdf2word in Google and you are there. You will also have to enter a serial key to use get the max use of pdf2word. The Registration Serial Key is - 92$$A#P9P8PWPX81P . Download the software, install and register. The software works even without the serial Key but you will be able to convert only 10 pages at a time.

      2. Once the PDF is converted to word, do following:

      a. Download and install CUTE PDF Writer. This is again a FREE software. Once you install Cute PDF Writer, it will ask you to install "Converter". Select the option and download converter from CUTE PDF Writer site. Install both Cute PDF Writer and Converter. Now you are ready with a PRINTER that Prints in PDF instead of REAL Printer.

      3. Open your file and select Print > Cute PDF Writer > Properties > Advanced > Paper Size A5 > OK > Print > Save the PDF File > DONE.

      Here you are DONE. cool

    Hi Karen,

I'm assuming that you just want to be able to print it out in A5 size - ie shrink it down in size, pictures and all, so that you get 25 A5 pages instead of 25 A4 pages.

Most printers have a setting where you can print out 2 pages to one sheet.
This will cause the A4 pages to come out half size (ie A5)

If you need the PDF file pages themselves to be converted to A5, there should be a scaling factor you can apply when you print the file from Pagemaker. This will still give you 25 A5 pages.

However, if you want to have same size print, images, etc and get around 50 A5 pages instead of 25 A5 pages, then you would have to redo the document in Pagemaker using the A5 paper size.

There are conversioon programs which convert PDF to Word, but I haven't found one yet that is really useful for anything beyond a page or two, especially is a lot of formatting and graphics are involved.

    A search for
"Convert PDF to Word" on Google will show you several of these programs if you want to give them a go.

    Regards,
    Eric G.
