Lower the Summary Character Limit to 249 Characters Please

    I waste a lot of time re-editing my descriptions in the link capsules because the automated "show" description" feature copies 500 characters from the Hub description when only 249 are allowed in the links capsule.

    PLEASE HP wizards, please limit the Summary character limit to match that of the Link Capsule to 249 characters only instead of the current 500.

      Writing your own summary will go over better with the search engines than leaving the automatic one.

        But I already carefully wrote all my own summary/descriptions in the meta tag facility when I published my hubs. They are all much too long because the feature at the Hub level allows 500 characters. Anyway, now I know not to write descriptions longer than 249 characters, i.e. until I see "251 characters left" and stop there. But for others it would save time and bother if the character limit in the summary/description feature was lowered to 249 characters to match the link capsule's capacity.
