Hello. I'm new, and anytime I link to something outside of my hub, ie, a photo on another website, I don't see the option to open the link in a separate window, which I think is common on most sites and probably a good thing to do on hubpages, so people don't inadvertantly leave the site. Is there a way to do it? Thanks.
Yes when you're in the text capsule (not pictures) you can go to HTML (top left) and in the code add target="_blank" in the coding. Just google it and you'll get an explanation. Or someone may arrive and explain it here itself. Sorry I've got to go else I'd explain in more detail.

I asked...

"John Mueller said that external links, links on your web site that point to outside web sites (or outbound links) are not a ranking signal. Just to be clear, links are a ranking factor - but you linking out to other sites doesn't help you rank better. He said the content you use for the link...
