Welcome to Squid Diaries, My lens about making money on Squidoo. Here I will be posting my Squidoo earnings, Squidoo tips, and other useful information that I have learnt during my journey.

The reason i started Squidoo was to share some of the interesting resources i find during my projects but to also try and make a monthly income with Squidoo while working from home and between jobs. So follow along to see if I can accomplish my goal.

Welcome to the Squid Diaries, I hope you like the title for this lens, i have been watching The Vampire Diaries too much and got inspired.

Currently, its February 2012 and i have been on Squidoo now for six months. Starting on July 2011. I currently have created 50 lenses but received less traffic then i hoped or expected. When i started Squidoo i has no goal or expectation for Squidoo but to share some of my work and projects in order to help other with theirs, in addition to making extra money on the side. This goal has not changed but i'll like to start setting earning goals and report on then as motivation.

It has been slow going after six month, i have been reading a few lenses on making money with Squidoo and hear these fantastic stories of other Squid making a reasonable amount of money and so i'll like to join them. i have been doing a few basic things in regards to promoting my lenses but nothing over the top.

However, after receiving my six month payment (February 2012) for $13.96, i thought by now i should be getting more the 10 or so click per lens per week. i must be doing something wrong as i write pretty good lenses. That is when i came across the SquidUtils.com add on that help you optimize keywords and tags. Since starting Squidoo i have been conscious of SEO and have used very specific key words and performed key word searching using Google's Keyword search tool but mostly i have used my intuition.

After spending the weekend re thinking and performing keyword optimization for all my lenses i hope to start seeing the results soon. As such i have set my goal of making $500 a month from Squidoo in the next six months. Along the way i will provide some Tip and methods that i have used along the way. I like creating short lenses and there a many great lenses about SEO and Making money with Squidoo so i will not repeat them here. This is more a personal journey.
