Economic Shift.... Or Changing Times

Updated on August 28, 2013

The surprising truth about what motivates us

Our Changing World

There is so much talk these days about the economy. So many hope to see signs of improvement. Signs of betters days ahead. They ask for Government to make changes, they ask for Big Business to make changes and they ask for Unions to make changes.

An economic shift is no doubt needed, but the question really is “Who and Where should these changes come from?”

Times have changed. Science and technology have brought about a most interesting change taking mankind far beyond the industrial revolution. This has brought about a huge change to the global consciousness of mankind. Let me explain.

In terms of how old the earth is, it is not that long ago mankind believed the earth to be flat. It was not only thought but actually (incorrectly) known to man at that time, that if you walked far enough you would fall off the edge of the earth. Of course man was wrong about that, and we know the earth is not flat.

At the time when the earth was believed to be flat, those who first understood it was round were way ahead of their time. The global consciousness had to be changed. It was a huge shift in consciousness to get man to the point where teaching another, the earth is round, is easy. Today children grasp the concept in a heart beat..... back then one could spend days getting another to even imagine the earth might be round.

Consciousness on a global scale DOES change, not just knowledge.

We are at a point in time that we all KNOW there is a huge abundance in the universe. Technology, science and the arts all in one way or another show us that abundance is everywhere. The perception that there is abundance, is now part of the global consciousness, yet today less than 20% of the worlds population controls 80% of the wealth.

Therein lies the shift that is needed. It is not an economic shift that is needed but rather a global consciousness shift, whereby mankind “stops the struggle for survival and begins to love life, love living and become the most we can be.” Notice I said become the most we can be – I did not say earn the most or have the most.

My friends, it is not an economic shift we need. It is a perception shift we need. It is not that hard to see how a perception shift can happen. Understand The Power Of Duplication and you will see for yourself just how one person CAN make a difference. Read that link.... it is very easy and a single person can make the change begin.

Someone asked - "What would you do if you were invisible for one day?"

I replied " In truth -- to many of us are already invisible..... we cower from our own greatness and hide from what we could become if we would only step out of our quiet shell and meet ourselves, our true potential, and make that which is found within, fully known!"

In my hub pages SAVING THE MIDDLE CLASS and GOVERNMENT WASTE vs CORPORATE GREED the attitude of (or the seeds of thought) to what this hub is all about are hidden within those two previous hubs. Check them out again, with this change of perception. Those hubs will say more to you with a perception shift than they appeared to say on first read.

Also check a more recent hub, Middle Class To Zero. It takes the process of perception change to a totally easy to understand level.

To BE all we can be - we must dream of BEING more!

Let us make the global consciousness shift and Give Up the Struggle to Survive and learn to LOVE LIVING and LOVE LIFE and all LIFE IS.
