Part 2-Ielts Speaking Model: A Vehicle

Updated on June 14, 2013

A Vehicle

IELTS(International English Language Testing System) is the world's leading test of English for higher education, immigration and employment. Below are some sample questions and answers for this topic.

Describe a vehicle you would like to own

You should say:

what it is

what it looks like

when you first became interested in it

and explain why you would like to own this vehicle.

There are many cars I have dreamed about owning but I would like to talk about a car called the Ferrari, which is a very famous luxury vehicle. This car is able to travel at very high speeds and is normally owned strictly by the rich and famous. This car is absolutely pricey and would cost me an arm and a leg to buy. After all it is one of the most expensive cars in the world.

My best friend Tony’s father has a Ferrari and I have seen it many times. This car is simply magnificent and makes me feel that no other car can compare with the Ferrari. It’s red and very stylish.

I am a big fan of the Ferrari because of 3 main reasons. Firstly it is very well known and I can show off this car to my friends. It can also attract a lot of beautiful girls. Secondly I get very excited when I’m driving hot cars. Driving always cheers me up and makes me very enthusiastic. Thirdly it is a very fast car and the sound it makes is just deafening. Nothing making me more jolly then the sound for a speedy car. I know this is just a fantasy and I know I’ll never be able to afford this unless I win the lottery or something like that.
