What is Sin and if I do it, will I go to Hell?

Updated on September 1, 2013

The question?

Have you ever asked the question, what is sin?

Let me explain what sin is and what it is not!

  1. Sin is everything that apposes the word of God.
  2. Sin is also when your conscience is showing you (convicting you) right from wrong.
  3. Sin is also when you know the truth and you purposely reject it, and still continue in your sinful ways.

Deal with sin. Be ruthless! Don't entertain or tolerate sin in any form. Time is running out!

The Strength and power of Sin!

The strength and power of sin is in its secrecy. People do not want (like) their sins exposed. Satan is the father of all lies (sin) and he hates the light.

John 8:44: You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts {and} gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies {and} of all that is false.

The light or truth of God’s word makes people vulnerable and ashamed, only then do they admit that they are sinners. They do not want to admit that they need a saviour, and that they are at fault.

Sin gives Satan legal rights to your life (strongholds). He will use these to gain strength and power to destroy you and your family, legally. When you continue in sin you can even become demon possessed. The only way Satan can walk upright is when he possesses a human, that is why he hates us so much. (Gen 4)

The Holy Spirit will convict hidden sin, and you will not have peace until you have dealt with sin.

You cannot hide sin from God, He knows your heart and you will reap what you do (sow).

Hebrews 4:13: Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is covered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Deal with sin. Be ruthless! Don't entertain or tolerate sin in any form.

There is only one way out of sin and that is through repentance.

Repentance involves two steps: admit and confess your sin, and then turn away from your sin and do not return to it.

Proverbs 28:13: You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.

Be aware and alive and alert to God and His Holy Spirit. The Devil, our adversary, is walking around like a roaring lion with the sole purpose of destroying and devouring us. He wants to keep us from entering into God’s rest and peace (Heaven).

Satan's Trap!

One of the most common traps Satan uses is the trap of sin. He will use the seed of a sinful thought and then if you allow that seed thought to linger, it will conceive. Formation and development will follow shortly, that will bring to birth sin and death.

He will get us caught up in sin if he can. He knows it will trip us and keep us back from pressing into God’s plan for us. Seek to live a life of right standing and holiness with God. Break the chains of sin and unrighteousness today!

Sin is a "Root" word and Sins is a "Fruit" word. So sin begins at the root and it bears fruit.

Man’s problem is not preliminary related to the fruit of his life but his problem is at the root of his life, man’s sin nature. Man’s problem is a problem of the heart because man wants to be "boss" or "king" of his own life.

This makes man unacceptable to God.

We do not own our self, but we (our spirit) belong to God, bought by the blood of the Lamb.

If you think that you belong to yourself, it is the same as rebellion and rebellion is the same as witchcraft and that brings the wrath of God upon you.

After salvation, God the Father will see Jesus, in the place of sinful you..

Our sinful nature:

It is in our nature to sin, even though we know we are doing wrong and may go to hell, we still do it. People try avoiding this point of sin by saying that God is a loving God and that this cancels out His "wrath" and the threat of hell in the Bible.

He will not put us in hell, some will argue, because our perception of God’s love is twisted and wrong. God is perfect in His love and also perfect in His wrath.

If you do not take on the way to salvation that God has placed there for us you reject God’s salvation plan. By doing that, the wrath of God will consume you by sending you to hell, but when you are "in Christ Jesus" God’s mercy and love will be shown to you. You will be saved by Jesus, through His blood. ("In Jesus Christ alone you are save").

After salvation, God the Father will see Jesus, in the place of sinful you.

With knowledge comes responsibility, and people don’t want to accept the rule of Yeshua as King in their lives. People are on their way to hell, yet they do this to themselves without realising it because they are ignoring God’s Word.

They do not realise their destiny is in their own hands.

Chose today life and not death, repent and be saved.

What is sin?

Chose today life above death, repent and be saved, His Grace is sufficient.

Wikipedia!

"Sinful", "Sinner", and "Sinners"

In Abrahamic contexts, sin is the act of violating God's will. Sin can also be viewed as anything that violates the ideal relationship between an individual and God. Sin has been defined as "to miss the mark"

Some crimes are regarded as sins and some sins are regarded as greater than others. In this nuanced concept of sin, sins fall in a spectrum from minor errorsto deadly misdeeds. Catholicism regards the least corrupt sins as venial sins—which are part of human living and carry immediate consequences on earth, and, if unrepented for, more painful purgation, assuming the person is destined to heaven, as it is written in the formation letter "Purgatory", "most of the early Fathers of the Church speak of a cleansing fire, though we cannot tell whether this means actual or spiritual fire." Conversely, sins of great evil are mortal sins—which bring the consequence of eternal maximal separation from God, the state more so than place, called hell.

Sins of careless living are considered destructive and lead to greater sins according to the Seven Deadly Sins.

Another concept of sin deals with things that exist on Earth but not in Heaven. Food, for example, while a necessary good for the (health of the temporal) body, is not of (eternal) transcendental living and therefore its excessive savoring is considered a sin.

Sin has also been categorized as an inevitable act that was passed down from generation to generation by the common ancestor, Adam. Like a disease, sin was said to poison the heart of every human thereafter. A controversial belief is that every person is completely full of sin and can't help to think and act on it, but only disguise it.
