What if anything did you think would happen when the year 2012 came.

The Mayans predicted a time of death and rebirth in the year 2012. Others believed that it marked a time of great devastation.... The year 2000 did not bring about any of the things that people thought would happen; Jesus did not come back, world war three did not happen and armageddon is not here.

The year 2000 will not bring about any of the things that people thought would happen; Jesus will not come back, world war three wont happen and armageddon won't be here.

in short, like every year, we'll have some amazing events, but one prediction you can count on is that none of the psychics will have predicted any of them

I think one should be skeptical, because 2012 is just getting started. Anything apopolyptic could happen, but most of us are hoping for world peace. Rebirth of the spirit in the universe, and many new discoveries will be noted. Advancement of the human species in areas such as Calfornia and Alaska, not that the people are so differant, but rather the culture of these two regions is very old, and taken a long time to develop.

I stay skeptical because we are still fresh in the year, and although things may look the same on the surface I believe it's just window dressing.

Nothing is going to happen yet. The 21st of December is the key date. Supposedly there will be an alignment of the planets to the centre of the galaxy. My belief is that all that will happen this year is more sun storms than usual and in some parts of the world communications will be affected.
