Nothing can actually be proven only accepted or rejected through various observations and evidence brought forth. The evidence does not really prove anything, it only supports what a scientist declares. God and how people believe in God is 'to each his own'. No matter what a scientist claims cannot disperse the strong belief someone has, unless deep down inside he has doubts to begin with.
I am Greek Orthodox yet I do not believe in God as most Christians or Judaists. I do believe in God but in a different light. So? The point is to believe, abide by and teach all the goodness God represents.
Professor Dawkins presents his views perhaps because he wants to diminish hatred which thrives between certain religions, the narrow mindedness of others and still harnessing of peoples through certain religions. Let him. If you believe can it affect you?
