Are you afraid of the sea/ocean ? have you ever witness anyone drowning? was it super scary?

Oh my I have this serious phobia for the sea I will go by the beach with my family but I won't bathe or very rare I will. For me to venture into the water it must be crystal clear and NOT DEEP, and as soon as the water reaches a good way before my waist i'd start freaking out LOL. I respect the sea after GOD because in it there's  no branches.....Also I have these queer feeling that some shark or something will come ashore. Where I live doesn't have much clear beaches, you'll find that on our sister isle 'Tobago' the beaches are awesome.

We love the sea and was swimming in it until about 2 weeks ago when it started getting too cold. If it looks too rough we will not go in as it can be dangerous. We really love the clear beaches for snorkeling like Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia !

Hi freecampingaussie i see that you are a fish well good luck to you and be safe and yes never get in when it's rough . The sea is no place to play when the tides are in, high and has a lot of current.

Thank U for coming by smile

No, I love the ocean. If I could afford it I would own a beachfront home in Southern California. I'm not the greatest swimmer but I've never been afraid of walking in the water up to my shoulders. You have to be careful sometimes as it is possible to be pulled under. The best thing to do is not panic and let the waves push you towards the shore. The water if fairly clear in Hawaii.
I know some people who are so afraid of the water that they refuse to go on cruise ships! The thought of being out there in the middle of nowhere surrounded by water scares the hell out of them.

Hi dashingscorpio well good for you beach front houses do look lovely.
But i will be worried about tsunami and storms during bad weather. I have been to beach hotels its cool, i sailed on the ocean several time. I am more afraid in little boats sad

If I went to the beach I would still go swimming and have fun, but I would be afraid of getting stung by a jellyfish or something else or stepping on a sea urchin. I wouldn't be afraid of sharks because they rarely attack. A rip tide might scare me at first, but I would know how to get out of it and I'm not a bad swimmer.
