   How are humans saving the planet?
   
   All this global warming and climate change debates going on and most of those who beleive in the global warming are saying that we are destrying the planet.  I see the opposite in that we have made great accomplishments in saving the planet and the inhabitants thereof.  Are you seeing these great things too and what are they?

   Recycling is at an all time high. In fact many towns offer a recycle container which is picked up and emptied on the same day that trash is picked up. Emissions in the air have dramatically be reduced compared to the 1970s, lead has been removed from gasoline, biodegradable packaging was non-existent, an increase in solar power homes, giant fans to generate electricity on farms and open areas, and a host of "green products" for home use.
   Nevertheless some people will never be happy until we're all riding bicycles, growing our own food, and living in caves.
   There are basically two paths most proponents want us to pursue.
   1. Continue to come up with better technological solutions.
   "Necessity is the mother of all inventions."
   2. Cut back on most modern conveniences and reduce the population. Less people means less garbage and fewer carbons.
   Realistically Exxon - Mobil is not going to be closing it's doors and laying off 83,000 employees as well as walk away from $482B in annual revenues. That's just one oil producing company! We are light years away from seeing heavy production of electric cars or hydro cars and a workforce which as 50% of it's employees working remotely from home.

      Yes, you are right.  We are even finding and helping animals and species come back from the brink of extinction and many are blind to that for some reason.

   I see a lot of recycling, also they got a lot of the cars that were polluting off the road.People are planting trees and cutting less down.

      Yes, most do not remember that in the 70's is when they started making laws about emmissions, cars and factories.  They think that it is some NEW thing.

      It is still going on.  They have put many ristrictions on factories now and what and how much they can let fo up their smokestacks.  Al the cars have to be made with the emission laws.  In our state they do have to pas an emissions inspection.

   There is no real proof that global warming is induced by humanity. There were other global warming periods before any humans walked on this earth. We live currently in a 'cold' period. Temperatures of the earth swing naturally up and down, never being real constant, and that would be strange since the earth is a living organism.
   
   The picture shows a graph of the last 10,000 years. 6,000 years ago there were no humans inducing carbon in the atmosphere. Or were there?
   
   Some say that global warming is a kind of conspiracy. In any case it is a very large economical hype that drives the modern economy.

      I believe you. Earth is a Biosphere meaning nothing leaves it  and it is all recycled and cyclic in nature.  I believe those people who think that the we are killing the planet, are in some kind of cult.  A cult doesn't have to be religion.

   There are some in society that work very hard in the preservation of our planet...recycling, non-use of chemicals in the environment, helping to save the animals from extinction  I feel when there appears to be animals that threaten neighborhoods, the use of neutering/ birth control RATHER than hunting and killing...here in Florida, we are facing a vote to pass "  killing Black Bears "..
   People are buying more Hybrid cars...more energy efficient homes...solar panels .Biodegradable items.. more natural earth friendly products..However... I believe there will always be that % of society that practices the " NAY " mentality....
   look forward to other opinions ...found interesting

   yes recycling paper, plastics in to something else, reduce using polymer stuff, no open burning and use online, less paper work

   Concerning the "saving of the planet," I am witnessing the same great thing that I have always witnessed -- and that is God is saving the planet, which is what He has always done, and will always continue to do.

      Yes that is so true.  The more we interfere the more we are those ones who are messing it up and Nature is always trying to correct that, though people do not see it that way.
