Are you asking what kind of jobs can a microbiologist get? If so then mostly it is determined by an individual's experience. In the world of microbiology and molecular biology, there are a lot of experience in different techniques (SDS-PAGE, UV-vis spectrometry, HPLC, genetic sequencing, PCR, and the list goes on). I just quit my job in academics and I am looking into getting a job in biotech. I hope this is satisfactory otherwise hit me again.
I would get a job in criminology or the fish and game department,as they are always using some kind of biology on the many different human and animal diseases,or getting clues to apprehend an individual or individuals at a crime scene.
