My favourite antique is a Victorian silver tea-spoon made in London, assayed in 1862, with a beautiful knotted rope design which was registered in January 1862, stamped with the makers mark for George Adams of Chawner & Co., an eminent London silversmiths that has a boars head engraved on the front of the handle with a sword piercing its snout and the motto "Animo non Astutia". This was the coat-of-arms and the clan motto of a member of the House of Gordon, a Scottish clan. read more
i'm not sure i really have a favorite antique, but there's many very nice antiques out there. i have a very nice antique glass set that i recently expanded, & i now have a double set of the same exact thing, different color of it.
