I have read The Fountainhead and I really liked it.  She has a individualist view that I don't actually subscribe to, but I liked the book.  I read Atlas Shrugged also, but I didn't like it as well as The Fountainhead.

My favorite is also Fountainhead. It was very difficult to put down. I think she brings out all the key points of Objectivism there and has some extremely compelling characters.

Atlas was good for the most part but I found the ending to be a bit on the preachy side.

I read it many years ago, I'm not sure why other than the fact that it was considered a "must read" among young conservatives.  I found the book to be very poorly written both in style and content.  It seems that many misguided young Republicans regard Rand's paranoid fictional account of socialism run amok as prophesy about our own times.  Don't lose any sleep over it.  The industrialists are too greedy to abandon society, and big brother is not out to destroy them (or you).
