is anyone reading the novel ATLAS shrugged?its a very good novel an very influencing...what do you think about this novel? and have you read any other novel by Ayn rand?
I thought they both ROCKED, but then I am a lifelong entrepreneur ...
No I dont know what it is but I get bored easily and can't sit down and read a book.
My favorite is also Fountainhead. It was very difficult to put down. I think she brings out all the key points of Objectivism there and has some extremely compelling characters.
Atlas was good for the most part but I found the ending to be a bit on the preachy side.
I read it many years ago, I'm not sure why other than the fact that it was considered a "must read" among young conservatives. I found the book to be very poorly written both in style and content. It seems that many misguided young Republicans regard Rand's paranoid fictional account of socialism run amok as prophesy about our own times. Don't lose any sleep over it. The industrialists are too greedy to abandon society, and big brother is not out to destroy them (or you).
