The literal term is right but I would like to elaborate, philosophy is a collection of ideas that are thought of and taught in a certain context thus the differences in philosophies. If you and I approach a matter from different "worldviews" then we may have a different philosphy of life or a different perspective so to speak but philosophies are born from thinking and teaching thus they are not just perspective but also conceptive.
