Suing a high school for hot chocolate burn?!
While at a high school football game the other night, I purchased a cup of hot chocolate. While picking up the styrofoam cup, a small amount spilled on to my hand and in 2 seconds burned the skin off of my hand. After being seen at a local ER, I was told that I could not return to work until the burn was completely healed as I am a nurse the risk of infection is way too high. This could take 2-3 weeks. I don't have enough vacation time and I've only been working at my job for 4 months so I cannot take FMLA. Am I wrong to ask the school to pay for my medical bills and time out of work? I mea
