there is more than 70 percent of nitrogen and 20 percent of oxygen in the air but they don't react in normal atmosphere, but in the car engine's pressure and heat oxygen and nitrogen react to produce oxides and dioxide of nitrogen.

Does nitrogen used in tires in place of air really save gas?I have heard nitrogen tire fills advertised as a means of saving gas. Is this a gimmick, or does using nitrogen instead of air in your tires increase MPG?
