What is alternative medicine?
And have you ever tried it?
Alternative medicine are any of a range of medical therapies that are not regarded as orthodox by the medical profession, such as herbalism, homeopathy, and acupuncture.
Alternative medicine is a treatment performed by medical practitioners. Alternative medicine is different from scientific medicine in the medical world.
In the alternative medicine does is treat patients with:
1. Medical uses of plants
2. Treatment using supernatural powers
3. Treatment using herbal concoction
People who are sick will usually turn to use alternative medicine when medical treatment does not provide the results of healing against a particular disease.
It's a pretty broad term, but basically, any treatment that isn't/hasn't been largely accepted by the Western medical community. This includes everything from chiropractors, Chinese medicine and acupuncture to homeopathy and faith healers. Some of it is plausible, and certainly has some impact on one's body. Others are disproven, unprovable, or not even plausible to begin with.
