    I think Latin roots should be taught as they are in our language, but not the language itself. It is dead and no longer used except in religion or very specific instances.

    Most definitely yes. I studied Latin at school, and whilst I hated it at the time, it did help with other languages, and was beneficial for science.I'm glad I took it now! Of course it should be an option, and not mandatory as there are subjects which are far more beneficial.

    Latin and Greek roots should absolutely be taught. But I think modern languages are more useful to students.

    No, its unnecessary clutter in a child's brain and will probably turn them off to other languages.
