    Haha, they don't know that for sure, but we do have lots of folklore and tales that have come down through the ages.  Its one of those fun things you are about 100% sure is not true, but then you have to wonder a little bit!  Fun question....

    Fire needs fuel to ignite. A living creature would have to be able to produce a combustible fuel from a gland and would have to be able to ignite the fuel with a spark. Then it would have to not die from the fumes or from burning the insides of its mouth and throat.
