Is it better to succeed at everything or gain strength through adversity?
There is no one who is able to succeed at everything, we are all different and supplement each other with our strengths as well as our weaknesses. The more successful people are aware of that. They approach each obstacle with practising their skills and working on their weaknesses with help of others. There is no choice, you will gain strength through adversity and you will grow and succeed or you will succumb to adversity and you will stagnate and fail....
A nice mix of the two- I think it is important to not succeed sometimes in order to keep ones feet on the ground. It better defines what one really wants, do you go after something repeatedly after not succeeding because then if you do it means you really want it. I don't envy the person that always succeeds because the success isn't as sweet and meaningful unless there has been some failures along the way. And as your question says you gave strength and other important qualities when you face adversity. Great question!
This is weird. You cannot succeed at everything. You have to learn to face defeat too.

Do you think mankind is doomed? With all the potential hazards and doomsday predictions facing mankind - climate change, over population etc, do you think we will sort it out and make it safely into the 22nd century and beyond? Are you an optimist or a pessimist when it comes to humanity?
