Do some countries benefit from other nations' wars ?
Do some countries really want wars to take place because they get advantages from other nations' wars.
No ... !
No country benefits from Warring ...
Its the Arms Manufactures and Traders ... the Politicians and Multinationals ... Drug and Food cartels ... basically Criminals ... who 'benefit' from every kind of Warring among common people; where ever, when ever.
"Wars" are made to happen, in the world, by these Criminals !
What a complex question. I think clearly countries benefit from wars in other countries. If it is only economically (can I say "only"?), then that is a benefit. One war in one country may elevate the standing of another country. If the warring country appears to be violating human rights, the championed country who is not violating can rise in public opinion. But the first question was "do countries benefit" and the followup was "do they want wars in other countries?" Countries definitely benefit, and assuredly the hawks want war. Hmmm.
Absolutely and it has often been imperial policy to try to induce wars in others' empires as the Russians tried to do on several occasions with the British and Indians.

What are your thoughts on gun control? With the recent mass shooting in Oregon, it makes me think that there needs to be better gun control laws. "But criminals are still going to break laws and get guns, so you're really just controlling law-abiding citizens" ... maybe, but how many of...

Why do you think that gun laws don't help with crime? The U.S. has some of the least strict gun laws but an extremely high rate of murder compared to other countries, why is that ?

How can the U.S. heal its political divides? We're increasingly in a tribal mentality of red vs. blue. As a libertarian, I'm concerned that people are not able to get along or do what's best for the country anymore; they want two dramatically opposed visions for the future of the country and do not...
