Why would you choose to take classes at a language school instead of taking a private tutor ?

When you learn a language it seems cheaper to take classes instead a one-on-one but in the end it isn't for many as they have to share the teacher with 10-20 others. So I am curious about the reasons you have to take classes.

Many people never learn a foreign language because they lack discipline. But, with wisdom, they take classes. The classes have hard deadlines which force them to study and prepare.

In a class environment, each student also enjoys the encouragement and insight of the other students when they ask questions, share comments, and form study groups. All that is free.

A tutor is for someone who has a fixed, tight schedule which will not fit a classroom schedule, someone with lots of money, or someone with both.

All depends the student needs, sometimes you dont have enough time to take regular courses, or may be you need to learn in a more specific way due work reasons for example.  There also another cheaper alternative to one on one classes: online language courses.
