What is like reverse psychology, but you act like its going to happen to get them to agree.

I am looking for a term that is similar to reverse psychology except instead saying the opposite to get someone to say what you want, you act like the plan was already agreed upon. For example; I say to you "that when we are having dinner this Friday night" in an effort to get this person to do it. I act like this event is already planned to happen to get someone to agree. Do you know the type of reasoning this is?

Yes, I know what you mean but I am not sure if there is a term for it. It's almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy, where you say someone is going to win or lose and that happens but it happens because you set up the conditions for it to happen (extra tuition, negative stereotyping, etc).
It's also rather like the positive self-belief behaviour, where you act as if a thing is so, until it becomes so. But I think this happens when you get yourself to believe very strongly that it WILL happen and your mind therefore sets up the conditions, or takes advantage of any opportunities that arise. Whether it would work the same way on someone else, I don't know, so it may have a different name.
I suppose you are using the technique of stating that "a thing is so" and many people are unwilling to challenge that or may come to believe that because you said that this was happening that they must have agreed to it at some time.
Still talking round it and haven't come to any conclusion but maybe someone else can now find or create a term for it.
