What types of natural disasters does Austin, Texas get?

I am considering moving to Austin, Texas. I would like to know which natural disasters a person might be exposed to. Tornadoes? Hurricanes? Earthquake? Anything else?

Basically anything. They have tornadoes a few times a year. Hurricanes come up from the coast. I don't know about earthquakes though.

I lived in Austin for 6 years. There might have been some minor tornadoes, but nothing major. You can get rain and wind from hurricanes but nothing like being on the coast. No earthquakes that I was aware of.

The weather that most often affects people is flash flooding, which is a risk any time of the year when it rains. Fire is also a risk in the areas around Austin. A huge fire went through the Bastrop area last year.

Austin is a great city. I think you will love it.
