What is the difference between pidgin language and creole language?
Did you happen to look it up online yet? Wikipedia, for whatever that's worth to you, seemed to have considerable information on the relationship, or differences rather, between these languages. Alot of it seemed very technical stuff about phonetics and such, but the very basic info put it as: Creole is an ordinary or "Natural Language" with it's root in one or more parent languages of different national origin. Whereas it describes pidgin language as an impromptu, or spontaneously contrived form of communication between groups of people who have no common language between them, but that must find a way to communicate for a common purpose, like for trading goods and services, especially in a land or territory with yet another seperate language from that which either knows or speaks. Just to be clear, that is all my paraphrased understanding of what I read elsewhere. Please pardon any inaccuracies!
