How do I pass this test?
I have terrible test anxiety! Always have and I feel like I always will. I never pass a test the first time, I can almost always expect to take it a second and third time, is it that thinking that causes me to fail in the first place? I failed my national registry for EMS three times, then I dropped that and decided to go to the army and I failed my ASVAB the first time. MY biggest fear is to go take that test again and watch myself fail for the a second or third time! Someone please help me jump over this hurdle that is slowing me down.
The most important thing about test retakes is to understand why you failed in the first place. Is it a failure to grasp the materials and thus you can't demonstrate mastery when tested as required, or are you just not a good test-taker?
Without knowing what parts of those tests you failed, or knowing how far or close you came to passing, it's not really possible to give you any practical feedback. You'd do a lot better to find in-person tutoring or coaching to help you in tihs situation.
The hurdle is yourself! Often we all are our own critics and that can be or biggest downfall. A negative attitude and also our ego is what stops us because of the crippling fear of doubt. If you think "you can," then you will. Face your fear, rid it, and be done with it! Anxiety we all face but the choice is to defeat it or let it defeat us. You choose!
