How does a Christian share a testimony without being intrusive?
Yesterday my students came to the classroom arguing about a Christian group that was passing out tracts. When approached, one student introduced herseslf as Lucy, short for Lucifer. Students told her she was wrong. I told the students she has a right to her beliefs and the way she chose to respond. Because the students say they are Christian, I am going to talk to them about approaches to discipleship and evangelism that are not pushy. When people don't want to hear it, arguing causes them to be more entrenched in their views.
By not being rude by imposing themselves upon other people by going around areas cold calling, share the testement with those who wish to go to a church and recieve it. I consider anyone, from any religious group to be as rude as cold calling sales reps, if they knock on my door, shove stuff through my letter box, or accost me in the street, send stuff by email or telephone me after they have somehow got my telephone number. I am capable of sorting out my own needs regarding religion witthout someone rattling on my door and disturbing me.
Thank you Mick! I really laughed when I read "shove stuff through the door." There are those who try to tell you what you need to do. They need be the type that people want to question and ask about their joy. One "pastor" has me on robocall.

Why do Christians feel the need to tell us about their religious beliefs?I don't have a problem with Christianity or any religion for that matter, but I view religion/spirituality as a personal and privvate matter and feel that it's best kept that way unless one is specifically asked to expand on...
