It is definitely some type of oriental writing. This may sound bizarre, next time you are in a Chinese restaurant, ask someone.
LOL I told my husband I'd take him to the nail salon to have them tell me and he said not a chance! He was told it meant courage 10 years ago when he got it. It does NOT mean courage!

I think It's Chinese for screw you Yankee.
This Chinese character is read and pronounced in Mandarin as "ying". It is commonly used in the character combination 英雄 yingxiong which means "hero".
