When was the last time that the Earth experienced global warming?
The last period of global warming we had was 55 million years ago. It was called the Paleocene–Eocene Thermal Maximum. It took 20,000 years to reach its peak. After this, as in previous warming events, earth turned in the opposite direction and we ended up with another ice age. Hope this helped.
