'Become machines' might not be a helpful way to talk or think about it, but things like xenotransplantation (the ability to transplant organs from other species into humans), prosthetics (artificial organs and body parts), genetic engineering and machine intelligence (formerly known as 'artificial intelligence') mean that our bodies and our machines will continue to be more and more closely intertwined.
They could become stronger than human and more dangerous.
