What do you think the worst legal scam in America is?
We all hear about the illegal scams in the country, but very few people talk about the "legal scams". In your opinion, which legal scam is the worst?
If you mean things that are legal but unethical, I can think of many. I'm dealing with a home warranty company that charges people $500 for one year coverage and then finds flimsy excuses not to honor their contract, but home warranties aren't the only type of company to do this. As far as what is WORST: I can't stand the way attorneys get away with failure to meet their fiduciary duties and padding billing to people who cannot begin to defend themselves against these practices - especially when those consumers are already facing legal problems.
