    I'm not saying it's not possible......but you are exposed to some radiation.  I used to be a radiologic technologist and we had to wear a "badge" which would record our total exposure to radiation.  We turn in these badges every month and the lab reads our level of exposure.  If we're getting too much, we weren't allowed to take x-rays of patients for awhile. 

    When taking x-rays, we do go behind a protective wall/room so exposure is limited and reduced. 

    To state if they get cancer is premature at this time.

    They know, which side the radiation will pass and they will take all the precaution to avoid it.
