Not everything can be answered by logic, such as which wine should go with this meal.

Logic is important, been logical doesn't mean not having emotion, but it mean having higher EQ that is higher emotional control. This is important, because, there are times where it is alright to be emotional, other time, it isn't. Image yourself losing your temper in a blind rage and do something you will regrate later onwards, So, logic is important. The more logical a person can have, the better it is. I do not mean to sound sexist here, but speaking from experience, generally, men do have better emotional management skills than women, that is one of the main reason there are more men in senior management than women, (of course, that and the fact, a lot of women after marriage, leave the workforce to take care of the children that is one of the reason) despite women claim to be disadvantaged in workplace, in my experience, in some entry position, women are actually in a position advantage to men, for example, back in university, girls are more likely to get part-time job as secretary or receptionist to boys, as a result, after leaving university, girls are more likely to have corporate experience, then guys, which is a great advantage, while searching for work in corporate environment.

Logic is very important for establishing a base.
However sometimes to effect a massive change one has to ignore present circumstances and utilize their (imagination and ambition) to defy the odds. It was once illogical for man to walk on the moon.
There would be no such thing as "rags to riches" stories if everyone "accepted" their present circumstance as being permanent.
Logic states you (need) a college degree to succeed.
Logic also says you need political experience to become a nominee.
To succeed on a massive scale you can't allow "logic" to stop you.
