Because rich white people hold the money. It's the same here in Australia where all the indigenous people were forcibly removed from their inheritance rights. Imagine removing all the inheritances of white people. What condition would their offspring be in?

    1. Since that was a century and a half ago, you're asking the innocent to pay for the sins of their ancestors, and we don't recognize collective racial guilt. And if you want to assign things by race, only whites ended slavery for the West and later the whole world in what was a world-wide institution.
    2. Affirmative action was set up in the US to offset the harm of Jim Crow. We're three generations later and it is still in effect. Yes, it has been mostly used by middle class and upper class blacks to their own benefit, but many have benefited.
    3. Due to blacks choosing welfare at high rates when it was expanded in the 1960s, illegitimacy in the black community went from 25% to 75%. This has disproportionate payment of welfare to blacks vs whites, as well has higher crime in the black community. How much of the trillions in welfare they've received count as reparations?

I do think Yazidi girls kept as sex slaves by ISIS and Christians kept by Boko Haram should get reparations, Yazidis from ISIS claimed assets, Boko Haram slaves from the government that didn't bother to protect them because they were Christian.

But not descendents of black American slaves who were also used as sex slaves? No inheritance there of course.

What? Why should a man who never agreed with, participated in, or condoned slavery pay another man who never experienced slavery?

because no black person alive today in america was ever a slave.
and no non-black person alive today in america was a slave owner.
