Why is percentage given so much importance in india?
Why students are judged on their ability to learn things..instead of having practical sense
Percentile doesn't show you the marks you score but tells in comparison to the other competitors.
IF ONLY FIVE STUDENTS SIT IN ANY TEST AND THE MARKS SECURED BY EACH ARE 1,2,3,4,5 OUT OF 100 THEN THE ONE WHO WILL SCORE 5 MARKS WILL SECURE 5 PERCENTAGE OF MARKS AND HIS PERCENTILE WILL BE HUNDRED.
Another thing to be noted is that every candidate of an exam knows his rank so he or she can calculate his or her percentile but if the institution gives only percentile then the actual ability and marks secured will be hard to find. Percentile only tells where you stand in the crowd of today's competitive world.../
