What is YOUR GOAL in life? Do you believe in MERELY SURVIVING at the basic level or THRIVING at the highest possible level? Do you believe in living at the most rudimentary, primitive, animalistic level or believe in tthriving & living the BEST POSSIBLE life? LOW or HIGH what is YOUR CHOICE?
My goal in life is to be the best human I can be. I am far, far from there, I will never reach it in this lifetime. I have several big issues I continually struggle with, such as selfishness, a giant ego, laziness, addictive habits, cowardice and much more.
Start with Taking self help baby steps by helping yourself first. Every human being can do it to help their situation and well being.
I'll own my entire world, or I'll die trying, and both are equally likely depending on my actions. So, high, I suppose; I've never believed basic survival was a sign of upward growth, I think the more intuitive, complex, but streamlined and efficient things become the more we can see upward growth. If this weren't the case we would not have to hear about things like white privilege, when those who believe harsh struggle and survival are the way to go suffer by their own hands while blaming those they view as 'above' them.
To ad lib something I once said while discussing privilege as it concerns working classes and upper classes:
"Why build the boat myself when I can have others do it for me? I'll still be sailing the world when it is finished, but I'll be less tired and have already made the money to commission three more ships by the time it is done."
We can all take the age-old moralistic approach, or we can adapt to and adopt modern techniques where we all thrive with less struggle. There will always be those at the bottom, but as time progresses we see more and more that they have chosen to be there. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, such as those destined to fail due to circumstance, but that's a marginal minority we will fix over time so long as we maintain fair dialogue about them.
Kyler, you are smart as hell. You are always welcome to my posts.

This is what one would call inverse logic. There are people who value struggle. They believe that struggle is normative. They don't believe in a life which is without struggle. They deride people who have abundance & have it much easier than they do. They somehow...

Privilege is defined as “a right, immunity, or benefit enjoyed only by a person beyond the advantages of most.” White privilege means that there are rights, immunities or benefits enjoyed only by whites because society places whites in a higher position than minorities. Some examples of this...

Should I just accept that my husband won't vote?I almost never disagree with my husband. However he has the "No need to vote when they're all the same" mentality. I am really wanting him to vote or at least learn the issues because we will be moving to a new tax bracket soon and I believe...

Do you really believe there is a "white privilege"?Specially in US, where this issue seems to be more hot, when the majority of the population voted twice to have a black president ruling the country, do you really believe that there is a "white privilege" or are people just...

Can you make a deal with God?So first a disclaimer, I am an atheist and don't believe there is a God, but for those of you who do, do you make "deals" with God or do you believe you can do this and does God respond? The other day, I heard of someone who promised God to go to church more if...
