Both earn money on the power of their knife. Both work on unconscious flesh. Both are ruthless, and terribly decisive in their actions. Both need money to live a healthy life.  Both want good education for their children. Both want to make the world a paradise. . .

Is there really any major difference (excepting training and insight) between a surgeon and a butcher?

The difference between both is "the art and reason/aim of using knife"

You have to be perfect in order to cut the proper pieces, but you don't have to keep anything or anybody alive, therefore you don't need that sort of precision when you're a "butcher," thus having the piece you want in mind is enough to achieve the butcher's goal.

But When you are a "surgeon," you must keep the animal or person alive while you are cutting them. You are saving them, not harming them. There are many things you must have to keep in mind in order to achieve your goal while also keeping your patient alive.

The surgeon would never want his patients to die, I believe. His purpose is to safe the patient. I think it needs a big heart to be a surgeon. But butchers can cut anything with their sharp knives and I think without the feelings.

One more thing if butchers are heartless or brutal so are the people who eat that meat. (I do eat non veg)  But if it is what we are taught from the very beginning of our childhood or if it is that we are being eating since we were child then we have a habit to eat it and we don't see it as brutal because we were taught that way and people around us are also doing the same.

Same is with butchers if his forefathers were butchers he will not see it as brutal thing/act but doctors do have a choice if they want to cut down human/animal bodies in order to operate. But then we must keep in mind that they do use knife but not for harming but to safe lives. The difference between both is that "how they use the knife" ( That's what I think! )

But if you see a butcher then they are also saving lives of humans by providing foods to them via cutting down/slaughtering another living being. I think this is brutal but this is what it is. We twisted and turned and returned back to your question again where we started, I think.
    Lol! I think, IDK! big_smile

I'll try to explain this in my next forum thread. My next forum thread is going to be about space. We really need to survey the space more closely. They have already set up the International Space Station in space. Virgin Galactic is also now functional.

But we need more activity in space!

Both a butcher and a surgeon want to go to space! This is the similarity!

One can afford it ~ the other can not. big_smile
