Have you ever been called “Old School?” An interesting article by Margaret.

I often refer to myself as being “old school” and prefer the way many things used to be done. I still use a note pad and pen to write my first drafts in fact. However, I have also embraced things like the Internet and can’t imagine life without it. Thank you for this interesting article, Margaret,

I really like this article, Margaret. I am probably "old schools" in many ways, I am very comfortable that way. I am much like you in those actions, John. This is a very interesting article.

Thank you for posting Margaret's article, John.

    Margaret...
I've never thought of "old school" as just using items that existed in the past like a manual typewriter...but as your article points it out...it makes some sense.

To me...Old School has always been they way a gentleman treats a lady.  For instance, by opening up car doors or helping her by pulling out a chair at a restaurant.
Or vice versa...women do things for men.

I honestly am more old school.   These new ways are not my style and confuse me quite a bit.

    Nice article

Thanks, Margaret, for this very interesting article. I believe that being "old school" is not a bad trait, provided one is also aware and firmly rooted in the happenings of the present. We must always learn from the past, appreciate the good things, and abhor the bad ones, but we must not stay in the past. That is what I call pragmatic thinking.

Thanks, John, for sharing Margeret's article.

John Thanks for sharing Margaret's ''Old School '' article,  that term has been used t refer to old people instead of 'just traditional ' , 'Old ways' of functionality. Quite informative,.
Margaret thanks for clarity in this article.

"There is nothing wrong with being 'old school.'" Thanks for saying that Rev. Margaret. Still there are some mental adjustments to be made. Good read!

John, thanks for posting the link to my article about being "old school." I also thank the others for reading and responding. I speak from experience because I am definitely "old school" when it comes to some things. However, I am not "old school" when it comes to technology. I can't imagine having to type articles on a manual typewriter and having to make corrections with correction tape or liquid paper.

My pleasure, Margaret. Oh, I remember the time that I got my first typewriter and was excited. But, no I can’t imagine that now. Thank God for computers.
