30 ways to de-stress

30 Ways to Say Hey I am not messing with stressing

1.Sing along-have some favorite songs Sing along in the car, in the house, outside..but maybe not at work

2.-Paint,Sculpt,Build even if it is Crayons and watercolor Art,has a way of Diffusing a stress bomb

3.Cook, No I don't mean Mac N Cheese Create a One-of-Kind Dish of your own or alter a recipe to fit your taste

4.Play a game..From Crossword Puzzles or a Pc Game like family fued or a board game like monopoly

5. Plant a garden or a flower in a vase, water and watch it grow

6. Go to the mountains, Oceans, or lakes and just enjoy Nature

7.Make a Scrapbook of your kids, your pets, your ancestry or anything you would like

8.Spring/Fall Cleaning..clean out that closet..or basement/attic it does wonders to clean things up

9.Exercise this has been proven to decrease stress levels and it is good for you

10.Call up a friend or family member just to say Hi and talk about old times

11.Share in your kid's world and use your imagination and be a pirate with them(you know like pippi longstocking)If you don't have children borrow someone' else's nieces and nephews such.

12.Get all dressed up and go out even if it is mcdonald's or the Store.

13.Wake up before the sunrises and listen to the birds and watch the world awaken

14.Read a book..not a self help or educational one but an adventurous inspiring or

action packed one

15.Daydream..Write down a list of what you would buy if you won the lottery

it is fun to dream and makes you realize too that you can do without it all.

16. Take pictures of family,nature animals, and then use a photo program to enhance and make fun frames and decorations

17.Light up the nite with some sparklers (yes I am not ashamed to admit that I love these as much as my children do.)

18.Plan a vacation online say walt disney world pick a date in the future years down the road. Plan your hotel your activities, ext.(lots of fun and takes your there)

19.Write some poems, short stories,ext. writing is a great way to let your feeling go

20.Do something for someone that doesn't take money just time or used items you have, like babysit for someone you know so they can have a nite out, or give away that baby stuff you have been trying to sell for 6 months. Kindness to others is a great way to lighten your heart.

21.Take a drive on a back road..away from traffic and noise

22.Learn something knew go online and learn how to tie a cool knot or how to play a harmonica

23.Rearrange you house, couch over there, chair over here..a little rearranging and DE-cluttering can make your home more inviting

24.Grab some Grape bubble bath Mr.bubble from the kids and take a long bath

25.Watch you favorite movie that you have seen a million times in your lifetime, that you can quote the whole movie scene by scene and have fun

26.Take a Nap- most Mom's are stressed out when they haven't got enough sleep

so take a nap when you can

27.Revisit your child hood and show your kids your fav toy movie, songs from when you were or on tv

28.Research something that you have been wanting to find out more about whatever it is at the library online or by asking people you know. Knowledge is a great thing

29.Get out a deck of cards and play Solitare even if you are not alone this is a great game for just you time.

30.Live Love and laugh often with your family children friends and loved ones

      I think writing is my best way to let go of stress. It takes my brain to another place, away from my problems. Great list!

      I loved, loved, loved this hub! It couldn't have been read at a more perfect time. I never thought of going out and buying a package of sparklers just for myself. I would love that. Next time I see them for sale, I am buying them. :)
