Beautiful Endings: Because of a Day.

Updated on October 24, 2012

A lone duck honked as it rose from the lake. Others were already flying the evening sky, actively practicing for migratory flight.

Here's hoping you enjoy the sunset landscapes captured for pleasure and meant to enter the deepest niches of your mind.

These scenes of eventide show a variety of composition offered by Nature. It is to our own detriment if we choose not to accept the gifts of beauty she graciously bestows. It may be a serene or exciting pleasure when one chooses to view Nature's sky-paintings.

Yes, a picture can be worth a thousand words. Enjoy your visit!

Click on photos to view them in larger size and enjoy them freely! Please do not use them inappropriately.

Endings of things in nature -and life- also portray an offering of new beginnings. Both may be beautiful, even beyond any sorrows they may seem to hold.

All photos are original snaps of Oklahoma sunsets by frogyfish. Remember, I only pushed the 'button'. The Divine painter chose the beautiful variety of evening scenes.

Beautifully pastel and serene, this reflective scene is the end of a busy day, but begins a new cacophony of night music.

Oh, I cheated? But this is just the OPPOSITE SIDE of a sunset. This full moon is ascending to take its place just as the sun is falling below the horizon.

A true full moon rises just as the sun sets. Their cyclical harmony is one that man cannot adjust. Venus accompanies the full moon in the early evening sky.

I wish to share my realization that these beautiful portraits of Nature cannot be seen by everyone. Many words could only partially describe a scene to such a person. As we enjoy the visual beauty of God's creation, hope can still remain that all shall one day be able to share in that beautiful spectrum of kinetic color and shape, Nature's magnificent glorious sunsets.

Just the hub I needed on this bright morning! I love photography and I am viewing this a second time and it is just as beautiful and inspiring as the first time I viewed these wonderful photos. The lake and houses around it are gorgeous. You certainly know the exact moment to push the button to catch God's creation at its best. I love the two mockingbirds. The calm after the storm photos are gorgeous too. Great job! Voted up+ and shared.

What amazing photos! Each on was more beautiful than the one before it. Thank you for sharing these. Nature is so calming and serene - even the photos of the sky that looked like it was on fire.

It is hard to believe the evening sky can be so many different, yet beautiful, colors.

cristina327, glad you found refreshing in the sunsets...they happen, change so quickly and each one IS different.

Christopheranton, as devastating as this summer's heat, drought and fires were in Oklahoma, we have had enough recent rains to gain a beautiful Autumn. The two parks are where I go often...just for me.(and my camera)

Samsons1, thank you for enjoying the natural beauty. I was the lucky one to get to push the camera button!

Lady_E, thank you for enjoying and relaxing on this photographic little journey. That moon you saw was actually the sun going down in a veil of smoke, ash from the summer fires. Amazing!

Simone Smith, I agree with your 'beautiful endings'! And it is not the majority of time that there is no wind to make that beautiful glass reflection. You know...Oklahoma, where the winds goes sweeping down the plain...for sure MUCH of the time.

femmeflashpoint, each sunset is different isn't it...and one can be beautiful pastel, cold, or really hot steamy fiery colors. I keep changing my favorites too.

Thank each of you for enjoying my photos...I wanted to share the beauty and am pleased that you enjoyed it!

Frogy - these are beautiful shots!

I tried to pick a favorite but, I couldn't manage to find one I liked more than the others.

I resign to think they're all equally spectacular. :)

Whoah, beautiful endings indeed! The water in some of those photos looks just like glass... and the colors! GASP!!

Gorgeous photos that give a feel of serenity. I particularly like the lake one, with the moon - it also reflects the moon in the lake.

      Lovely Thanks.
