James Patterson

I don't think there is anyone on this planet that hasn't heard of James Patterson, young or old. With his large collection of books for adults and teens, I just know that everyone has read at least one book by this marvelous write. This is a man that has been an author for 33 years and in that time he has written 65 books. No one can keep you in suspense like James Patterson.

He has had 19 consecutive #1 New York Times bestselling novels. That is phenomenal. He also holds the New York Times record for the most Hardcover Fiction best selling title by a single author. How many is that, you might ask. Well, I'll tell you. 48. This number of best selling books has also earned him a Guinness World Record. Last but not least, this king among writers, has won the Edgar Award. The Edgar Award is the mystery world's highest honor. There aren't many author's around that can match James Patterson's record.

He has single handedly captured the admiration and imagination of thousands of readers. His books for the teens have encouraged many a young reader to join the ranks of his many avid fans.
