Lady Gaga is a New York City native. Her real name is actually Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Lady Gaga is a stage name that is cool, stands out and is easy to remember. I doubt people would remember her real name if she decided to use that instead. It's even hard to pronounce, at least for me.

Lady Gaga is a singer, songwriter, musician, dancer and top-selling recording artist whose influence comes from glam rock artists David Bowie and Queen. Her musical sound includes pop, dance, and electronica.

Since Lady Gaga turned up on the music scene, she has taken the world by storm. She has released three albums, selling millions of copies world-wide. She has also embarked on three sold out tours - The Fame, Monster Ball, and Born This Way Ball.
