Is it any different? I don't think so. I could not recall any special moment related to this day. Am I dragging you in to my situation? More likely. But, I see this as doing you a favor. Instead of sulking you in to that glorious love feeling (which is by far unattainable), we explore into the crazy destructive force of people caught up in that thing called love.

Slowly, we creep into it. Here you go!
Lips of an Angel, Hinder
1. Lips of an Angel, Hinder
Depending on how you interpret it (or should we say, depending on which situation you are in), this song could be about a hidden love affair or a rekindled romance with an ex. Both situations could turn bittersweet because the lovers in the song will not end up with each other. But this song reveals a visual picture of the emotions involved in a hidden relationship: expressing their fondness for each other, keeping it a secret, but still maintaining their current relationship stable.
Wake Me Up When September Ends, Green Day
2. Wake Me Up When September Ends, Green Day
By just listening to the music, I would not have a clue what this song is about. I am not a big fan of poetry. Although I am trying to get my mind into it. But this song, as it's original video showed, is about a man sacrificing his relationship to serve his country. The girl was distraught about his decision. Yet he decided to proceed because he believes that what he does is in a way securing here a "safe" future. Talk about unsung heroes, we have many of them fighting for our midst.
3. Two Beds and A Coffee Machine, Savage Garden
This is a really heartbreaking song about people in a very unhealthy relationship, tried getting out of it but they just can't because they have to consider their children. Despite being hurt and wanting to leave, they gave themselves time to "recuperate". Which for me became the beautiful thing about this song. That the cheap motels were put into a good light. (You know what I mean.) It became a temporary recluse. Such ordinary things becoming so lyrically artistic. Two beds and a coffee machine.
Iris, Goo Goo Dolls
4. Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
The song feels like a man pleading for attention to reveal himself to the person he loves. He doesn't want this person to see him the way the world sees him because it might be a distorted idea of himself. That is why when he got the opportunity, he seized it and won't forego for another chance. I believe when guys fall in love, they really fall hard. So girls, beware, this might be your only chance.
Goodbye My Lover, James Blunt
5. Goodbye My Lover, James Blunt
For me, I get the feeling that the guy deliberately entered into the relationship with the intention of ending in at some time. However, as the relationship went on, he realized that he could be in it for the long haul. Instead of just a short time lover, she became the "one" for him. That is why he is saying goodbye to his lover (the girl). Although unspoken, he is letting her become his wife. I think this song only used a sad melody to have a dramatic effect. What do you think?
