I believe in giving the fans what they want. So here goes, another story using song titles from country music rain songs.

Rainy Day Story...

Recently we had a rainy weekend in Orlando. "Whenever It Rains" it seems local drivers forget how to drive. There are more fender bender accidents then on a sunshine filled day. We tend to hear more honks and hollers while out and about. When possible it's best to stay off the road on a rainy day.

I chose to hang out at home and catch up on Facebook. No sooner was I signed on to my favorite social network site when the status updates began. "Is It Raining At Your House?" Ya think? This friend lives only a stone's throw from my house. Uh-oh I thought, the complaining is just starting.

Yet, again there is another update a few minutes later, "Rain, Please Go Away!" Seriously, people? We haven't had rain in over a month. Brush fires are rampant. The lawns are dried out. Pollen is at an all time high due to an early spring. Trees and mold spores are soaring. Do they not realize how important rainfall is? How about we "Help Pour Out The Rain" instead of complaining about it? OK, that's not actually possible, but it's an optimistic thought.

Granted the rain could be a bummer. Outdoor plans get washed out. Forget about a good hair day! For the women that is and some men. Children are bored and want to be entertained. Those are some of the downfalls.

There is a positive side to a rainy day! As my local Florida Facebook friends are "Cryin' In The Rain," I love the sound of the gentle raindrops against the window. The sounds are soothing. Rain could be thought of as "out with the old, in with the new." It could be "Rainin' On Me" and I wouldn't complain.

"The Rain Might Wash Your Love Away," but it will most likely come back. "Loving Somebody On A Rainy Night" is always another way to celebrate a nice storm. "Kissin In The Rain" is a romantic way to enjoy the droplets of water from above.

I advise against standing under a tree while doing so. Thunderstorms have no mercy while accompanied by lightning strikes. The odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 1,000,000 but why take the chance?

I decided to entertain myself with some country music songs about rain. I like to celebrate rain. I'm the type of person who would go outdoors and sing "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head." I could hear thunder booms in the distance. My dog usually cowers in the corner. She's not a fan of loud sounds. 20% of dogs suffer from noise phobia. Owners have different ways of soothing their beloved pets. I place my dog in the bedroom and set up a movie for her. 101 Dalmatians and Lassie reruns seem to be her favorite at this time. This method seems to help give her some comfort.

"Yesterday's Rain" is over. The thirst of mother nature's gifts have seemed to be satisfied for now. "Every River" has now been refilled. The wildfires are on hiatus. The firemen can now rest. I've recently witnessed a brush fire on my street and the firemen have been added to my list of heroes.

The sunshine is now shining in Florida and I'm ready for some Vitamin D. I decide to check out my Facebook feed to see what's going on before I head outdoors. The first status I see is "Rainy Night In Georgia." Oh geez. I'll just sign out and "Come Back When It's Not Raining" anywhere in the world.

In the meanwhile relish the rain and soak in the sunshine. These are two things we have no control over, so why sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the moment!
