Harry Potter 9?
More Harry Potter Movies?
With the final Harry Potter movie released in July 2011, the question has been asked and I'm sure it will come up again as a hot topic soon enough. Will there be a 9th Harry Potter movie? If so, would J.K. Rowling decide to keep the same characters with the focus on Harry, or more importantly, would an additional movie be a continuation from the current Harry Potter story or a stand alone movie exploring the characters or the past?
I'd sure like a see a movie based on the pre-Harry Potter story or one which focused on some of the Professors in Hogwarts, the formation of Hogwarts and the earlier stages of witchcraft and wizardry in Hogwarts.
I'm sure with enough support from the fans, J.K. Rowling will soon enough succumb to the temptation and encouragement from her fan base encouraging her to write a story line for another Harry Potter novel or movie. After having already reaching exceptional heights in terms of popularity and success with her current novels, why stop now?
The unfortunate thing would be, however, if J.K. Rowling simply wrote another novel or worked on a movie script with directors and film producers just to satisfy the public outcry of more Happy Potter and have a flop. There's still plenty to explore for J.K. Rowling and her fans with Harry, Hermione, Ron, the students at Hogwarts, as well as the remarkable professors of witchcraft and wizardry.
With Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 being a success, I for one would love to see more Potter on the screens. Having never been too much of a fan from my first viewing of the first movie - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, I've soon enough been able to appreciate the hype around me and have grown to understand and appreciate the fascination of the Harry Potter series. Unfortunately, I'm yet to read to novels so I can't comment there too much although it's certainly on my list of things to do when it comes to reading.
