The Bondage

The Bondage is a 21^st century story. Ben, a Nigerian German based businessman visits Nigeria to supervise the projects and businesses his family members were handling for him, his Uncle manages his estate venture and his elder brother manages his cosmetic retail business and a very close friend who is a car dealer runs a partnership car sell venture with him. With dissatisfaction with his elder brother’s poor management, he threaten to take the business away from him, left with no other choice but to keep the business, he threaten to kill Ben.

His Friend also has to clear himself regarding mismanagement. Ben decides to withdraw his shares from their joint venture. His Uncle goes to borrow money from the bank to cover up embezzlement of fund. Ben goes mad in the process and family members points hand at his elder brother who denies any involvement in Ben’s predicament. His Uncle goes to a Native doctor to find solution to his aliment and a close friend introduces his elder brother to a man of God who could cure madness and cast out demons.

Ben’s fate lies on the hand of family members.

Would Ben be healed by the Native doctor or the Man of God?

Would the course of Ben’s predicament be known?

This story widens our thought at what most people encounter in the hand of trusted friends and family members.

I have seen a lot of things happen to so many people, so many betrayal from close relatives. I have seen it all so with my experience in life, i decided to do this movie to address the issue of people suffering in the hands of those meant to care for them. One might begin to wonder why it is a Nigerian based in Germany. Well the fact is that as a film maker, i have come to understand that film making is not just telling story rather it is about a film maker adopting a style to tell his story and this style is based on one's background.

I have done two feature Films, of which the first one Bag of Love was released by Shami Media Inc and also will release the second one entitle Transformer. These two films were basically based on my background as an African so that is the main reason why Ben is a Nigerian based in Germany because we are scattered all over the world and you can't imagine or believe what so many of us pass through in the hands of relatives.

There is treachery and envy everywhere and this movie exposes them both because as you already read from the synthesis, Ben became mad in the process, it has happened to so many people or rather something similar or even worst and fingers are always pointed mainly at the wrong direction and that is what viewers will see in this movie.

I want to shoot this movie with Canon HXA1. Don't have anything better than this camera because i am a beginner and an Independent producer. This movie is expected to be shot in Accra Ghana in the second quarter of 2014 and estimated production cost is GHC.12.000.00 ($6000.00).
