So You Think You Can Dance :: Predictions, Opinions & Chatter

Updated on August 19, 2013

So You Think You Can Dance

So You Think You Can Dance is one of my favorite shows on tv. I hope you'll watch Season 10 along with me. :)

I have no idea why I didn't tune in for the 1st Season, but I've been watching at the edge of my seat every show since Season 2. The choreographers are amazing, the judges and host are hilarious and the dancers absolutely rock.

Congratulations to Eliana Girard & Chehon Wespi-Tschopp

Winners of SYTYCD Season 9!

***Season 10 Began Tuesday, May 14, 2013 on FOX***

I usually have some favorites by now, but this year I really don't. What about you? Anyone you hope gets to the finals?

So You Think You Can Dance Get Fit

The Official Website of SYTYCD

National Dance Day - Saturday, July 27, 2013

On Saturday, July 31st 2010 Nigel Lythgoe launched National Dance Day to encourage everyone to dance as a means to stay fit and be healthy. To help celebrate and get everyone involved, choreographers Tabitha and Napolean created a short, easy to learn routine.

For 2011 they created a Master Class routine, Robin Antin gave us an Intermediate Intensive routine, and Mary Murphy had a Salsa for everyone to try.

There were two new dances for 2012. The first a routine from Zumba Fitness for just about anyone, and the second a Hip-Hop Master Class routine Lauren Gottlieb.

This year's (2013) Everybody Dance routine is being taught by Nigel Lythgoe and choreographer Adam Shankman. There's also a Hip-Hop Master Class number from Napoleon and Tabitha (and baby London!).

My husband & I are dedicated watchers! Our daughter danced & competed from the age of 10 thru 19 then sprained both her ankles at the same time, doing a round-off while working at her dance studio (she still teaches there 8 years later). Thus ended her pro-dancing (her ankles are still very weak). However, she is the local high school's official performance choreographer, so she is still putting all those years of dance to good use. Anyway, after years & years of sitting for hours & hours in auditoriums & watching dancers & dances, my husband & I still love to watch these fabulously talented kids. We know the incredibly hard work they endure to perform the dances.Great Lens!

They're finally coming out on DVD? Woohoooooo!!! It's agony waiting for the new season to begin every year, and i definitely suffer from withdrawal symptoms after the close of each season. This is one of my favorite shows of all time, and Dad loves it too! Thanks for a great lens!;-)

I just love this show. The whole family watches it - my daughter is going to be on it of course when she is old enough! I want Brandon to win. He is amazing and had such a tough time at the start.

Christene, I absolutely adore this show! You would get a kick out of my mom -- she is hilarious. When she was visiting for Easter Sunday, we were talking about various dance shows. What she said about this show, "You call THAT dancing? That's NOT dancing ... that's gymnastics." It was so funny to hear her say that. Now when we see a dancing show, hubby has been heard to repeat her words. Cracks me up every time. ;)
