The best, of course, is Monty Python's 'The Holy Grail'. Funny and brilliant stuff.

Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth came out on film.  The book was outstanding.  I actually never watched the films.  The setting is twelfth century England, and the main characters are a stone mason and his family.  The story covers several generations.  I read it in the early nineties before Oprah discovered it and inspired a revival of the book which then led to the film version.  The book is on my all time favorite shelf.

I haven't read the book yet, so I can't say how the two compare, but the movie was excellent big_smile. Definitely going to track down the book now.
