    How do I Network in the Film Industry?

    Over the past month I have written several screenplays, one of which I made into a short, fifteen minute film that I have showed to more than a few of my friends. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback, and while aspiring to be something more than a accountant, I would like to find a way to get my stuff out there (without YouTube) where it will get noticed by talent agencies. Where can I distribute my videos? Who will help me in the process?

    I'm not sure how to get your videos into the right people's hands, but you can probably start networking and meeting some people on-line. Have you heard about and/or signed up for a LinkedIn account? If not, check out the site and sign up. When you do, make sure to fill in as much of the information as you can. Then check out some of the group listings and join at least a few. I've connected with several authors and gotten a lot of great advice and tips. Hope this helps at least a little.

      This did help. I do have a linkedin but had no idea it could be used to network in areas other than business oriented.  Thank you for sort of ally-ooping me back to LinkedIn!
